Gran Turismo 3 and 4 continued to blow the minds of racing gamers worldwide, and it continued to remain as the pinnacle, to the point where it was challenging to imagine it ever having any real risk of competition entering the market. After firing it up, and spending way too many hours glued to the screen, it certainly lived up to the hype and expectations as it unquestionably revolutionized console sim racing. I have a clear memory of physically shaking as I got my hands on Gran Turismo 2 for the PlayStation as a kid.
